Golf Course Manners

Every game has its own rules and manners that every player has to follow. A lot of games have some common rules and etiquettes. But as we talk about golf there is some difference as compared to other games. Let’s talk about the manners of the golf course that all the players and spectators must keep in mind.


The first thing that you need to keep in mind is that the manners and etiquettes of golf are divided into different categories. The first category that we have is the safety. As far as we talk about the players they need to make sure that there is no one around in the area where they intend to play their shots. This is due to the reason that golf balls can change their path due to a slight change in the direction or the speed of the wind. Golf requires a lot of concentration. Concentration only comes when there is silence around the players. So as a spectator you are advised not to talk loudly when the players are getting ready or are in the middle of their swing. As we talk further about the manners of the golf course, make sure that you are not walking on the grass. Your footsteps will affect the very soft grass which may cause some problems for other players if the affected area is in their path of shots. All the players must keep in mind that they should always be ready for their shots so that the other players don’t need to wait much for their turn.
